Yep, we are always looking forward to the weather which is next to what we currently have :D
ReplyDeleteThat's true!
DeleteAhhhkay... just came back from trip to Upper Peninsula of Michigan where people there thought it was too hot and humid. I wanted to tell them what it was like in Illinois, but I simply smiled and enjoyyyyyyed the hell out of it!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had any real heatwaves yet, but there have been some uncomfortable days.
DeleteI went camping in the U.P. once, in August .... we ended up going to the nearest store for more clothes and blankets.
DeleteIt can get cold in these parts in August, so we're around the same latitude.
DeleteI adore summer and a good hot afternoon. We've had terrible smoke though and that's made me actually start wishing for fall and maybe some rain so I can breathe my air and not have to cut it with a knife first.
ReplyDeleteSmoke will do that. I know the forest fire season in the West has been particularly bad.
DeleteI miss the summer weather. It hasn't been hot enough to swim lately.
ReplyDeleteOur summer's had a lot of rain off and on.
DeleteHope it cools off for you soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's manageable. I'm just dreading the notion of a week long plus thirty heat wave with lots of humidity. That can still happen.
DeleteWhen we lived in VA, summer was my least favorite time of year, especially July and August when local forecasters would give the heat index in the a.m. We always knew to wirk early in the day and cut the grass before late afternoon when the humidity would make it too wet.
ReplyDeleteIt's the humidity that I find annoying.
