The Dog Days Of Summer

Here we are in the latter part of the summer... and so I thought I'd do an image blog. Enjoy it while it lasts... because winter is coming.

    1. We haven't had any real heatwaves yet, but there have been some uncomfortable days.

    2. I went camping in the U.P. once, in August .... we ended up going to the nearest store for more clothes and blankets.

    3. It can get cold in these parts in August, so we're around the same latitude.

  3. I adore summer and a good hot afternoon. We've had terrible smoke though and that's made me actually start wishing for fall and maybe some rain so I can breathe my air and not have to cut it with a knife first.

    1. Smoke will do that. I know the forest fire season in the West has been particularly bad.

    1. It's manageable. I'm just dreading the notion of a week long plus thirty heat wave with lots of humidity. That can still happen.

  6. When we lived in VA, summer was my least favorite time of year, especially July and August when local forecasters would give the heat index in the a.m. We always knew to wirk early in the day and cut the grass before late afternoon when the humidity would make it too wet.
