Bill Gates Versus The Internet Scammers

Do they ever give up? Of course not. Do they take a hint and drop dead? Never. I speak of course of the internet scammers and spammers, that loathsome pile of trash who keep infesting our email junk folders and spam comment folders with their crap, or sending us yet another outlandish email promising riches- while not mentioning that none of this is on the up and up. Such is the case with the following email, which turned up in my email a few days ago.

Where do we begin with this one? Well, for starters the email address listed early on. Of course it's not the email address that was listed in the original email. That one features the name Queen Tembe. Which is the first big hint that we're dealing with the usual homo sapiens scammeritis irritatingus that send this kind of crap out. And then there's the matter of just looking up the Gates Foundation in combination with the word scam, and seeing that there are multiple accounts online of scammers playing this game.

There are the other tell tales. Misspelled words, capitalized or not capitalized letters and words. The claim of wanting to do charitable work by giving out money to strangers. The claim of illness and 'no much time to live'. The Totally Fake Bill Gates (guess what, scammer? I don't believe you) wants me to help as many as I can with this totally unexpected (because it doesn't exist) windfall.

That's nice. And if you expect me to believe that Bill Gates has time to randomly email total strangers and wave millions of dollars in front of their faces, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. Perhaps one of the millions of other people you sent this very same email to will be dumb enough to buy it.

I'll say this much, scamming scammer. I wish that you really were "no longer strong am sick and I'm writing you from hospital computer." I wish that the reason you were sick would be something that would be precisely what you deserve.

Such as the Ebola virus. Yes, I can't think of anyone who deserves that more than you.

  1. It's really insulting that these morons think we'd actually fall for such a bad con job!

  2. It is amazing that these things still happen. It must be profitable on some level or they would have stopped, right? Which is really deplorable...

Comments and opinions always welcome. If you're a spammer, your messages aren't going to last long here, even if they do make it past the spam filters. Keep it up with the spam, and I'll send Dick Cheney after you.
