Can Cheating Be A Life Philosophy?

Speaks volumes of Admiral Kirk's ethical world view, doesn't it? I shall be back on something resembling a schedule in a few days... but I thought I'd kick off the new year with this dig at Star Trek.

  2. Our attitude is always dependent on how a certain situation affects us personally!

    BTW, I understand you might get your mayor back to poke fun at?

  3. We can only hope our New Year will be better for us all.
    And thank you from the bottom of my black little heart, your mayor is running for re-election. He makes our congress look so much better !

  4. Oh, now there's an interesting way to look at it.

    Waiting with abated breath, my friend to see what fiendish things you'll be up to next!

  5. @Grace: thank you!

    @Cheryl: the drug addled idiot won't take a hint and resign!

    @Parsnip: though he's not technically my mayor (mine is boring!), the guy drags the whole country through the mud... for the next ten months. That's ridiculous. Provincial or federal election campaigns last five or six weeks here. Ten months for a municipal election?

    @Shelly: hello!

    @Lorelei: Kirk's worldview also involves lots of fornication with alien women...

  6. In the Captain's defense, he just didn't believe in no-win situations!

  7. Happy New Year! Hmm, I wonder if the IRS will accept this as a valid reason why I don't want to lose money to taxes? :)

  8. It wasn't a huge surprise -- Kirk was never very good at playing by the rules.

  10. Cheating is not a philosophy or a goal. Cheating is a tactic to delay and obstruct the opponent from winning. I hate cheaters because they don't engage in or even enjoy the nature of the arena they entered.

  11. Hi William! Happy New Year! May 2014 be a better year politically. I know that's not really possible, but we can dream...

  12. When Kirk was a captain he was heavy on preaching do the right thing no matter what. I didn't follow his career after he was promoted to admiral....maybe if I had, I'd get this joke. LOL

  14. @Kelly: thank you!

    @Norma: quite true!

    @Meradeth: probably not, no...

    @Mark: rules are for other Starfleet officers, after all.

    @Hunter: thank you!

    @Diane: and Kirk's a cheater among cheaters.

    @Maria: I'm not holding out much hope...

    @Lynn: watch Star Trek 2. The first movie series, not the recent film.

    @PK: taken care of.
