I really should think about touring around Canada a bit. We make the trip to Buffalo a couple of times a year. At least I know who I can ask if we decide to continue north from there.CMSmithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13623922567796370246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7630295318214379308.post-49876153752963071712012-06-08T12:29:48.473-04:002012-06-08T12:29:48.473-04:00Of course the Hungarian Embassy looks the coolest!...Of course the Hungarian Embassy looks the coolest! More, more, more of the beauty and history around you. A few weeks ago, many embassies in D.C. had their doors open for visitors. Some, like Jamaica, offered food samples (like rum cake, yum). There are also several other programs (gardens, homes, etc.), mostly seasonal or in the spring, that are lovely. In our community we have open studios in which the local artists have open studio on the same weekend. Brings in lots of people to town. I've missed the last couple of years of being able to go (last year I was in extreme pain and the year before that, I think I had to work), but this year, we'll probably go check out some different places. It's usually the same places open all the time, but my hubby enjoys going to see and hear about the history of such buildings.

Love the photos! Ottawa really is a grand city.
