I'd recommend it overall, but the plot was a mess and it was just TOO DARK. The grimness and excessive damage can be a bit overwhelming, and to be honest, the film seems to be trying to pack way too much in at once." That is exactly it! We follow a lot of TV Mysteries, and they are all so gruesome, even as they follow actual crimes. It's hard to find a good mystery.
Thanks for the recommendation for Cartoon Ink! I do love superhero movies, but DC's films have lately been too dark and gloomy for me. I like them to be fun. Loved the late Christopher Reeve's take on Superman.

I agree, DC is trying hard (too hard, I think) to catch up to Marvel, rather than carefully building their own movieverse for the fans who like the dark, broody tales.

I like the change in Wonder Woman's attire. In the '70s TV series, Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman was clearly on the side of the US, so the stars and spangles worked. Here, she's first and foremost an Amazon warrior, so the Amazon armor is appropriate.

Excellent review, as always!Normahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12685538277690762655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7630295318214379308.post-74326605915508131572016-04-02T08:41:16.063-04:002016-04-02T08:41:16.063-04:00As always, a very thoughtful review! Unfortunately, despite your fine analysis, the comic-book characters remain uninteresting to me and so I doubt I'll see the movie in the theater.Cheryl B.
